VA Mission Act-Caregiver Program

The first phase of the long-awaited VA Mission Act that expands the VA's current Caregiver Program will begin October 1st to include eligible veterans who served on or before May 7, 1975.  Previously this benefit was only available for Post 9/11 Veterans injured in the line of duty.
 
What does this mean? Veterans who have a 70% service-connected disability rating or higher, are in need of assistance with activities daily living, and served from WWII to Vietnam may be eligible for the Caregiver Program.
